Review by hotel critic
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a flat-screen TV and good heating system to ensure a cozy stay. The bathroom, though modern, could benefit from more vigilant cleaning in the shower area. The staff were commendable, consistently friendly and accommodating, even amid a busy wedding weekend. I appreciated that my request for a fan was promptly fulfilled upon my return to the room. The 24-hour reception and luggage storage were convenient features, enhancing the overall experience. Breakfast left something to be desired. The buffet offered limited choices and was often depleted, leading to long waits for a table. A few freshly cooked options would have elevated the morning meal significantly. While the tea was served fresh with a smile, I've encountered better buffet selections at comparable hotels. In terms of financial wisdom, the reasonable daily parking rate was a definite plus, especially for those planning longer trips. The Tontine is an appealing option for a stopover with central access, though it would benefit from fine-tuning in certain areas.
